The route goes through the highest and the most attractive part of the Balkan, mainly on the ridges of the mountain and some of the highest peaks. 1 Day
Arriving at Sofia Airport. Transfer to the village of Ribaritza (2 hours of driving) - at the northern slopes of the Balkan. Overnight.
2 Day
Hike from the village to the Vejen hut - 6 hours, close to Vejen peak - 2 198m a. s. l.
3 Day
Vejen hut - Koziata Stena hut - 6 hours hike on relatively flat ridge.
4 Day
Koziata Stena hut - Nezabravka hut - 7-8 hours hike on relatively flat terrain.
5 Day
Nezabravka hut - Rai hut - 7-8 hours trek.
6 Day
Rai hut - Pleven hut. The route goes trough the highest peak of the Balkan - Botev peak - 2 376m a.s.l. - 7 hours.
7 Day
Pleven hut - town of Apriltzi - descending walk - 5-6 hours. Overnight in hotel. Farewell dinner in typical Bulgarian restaurant.
8 Day
Transfer to Sofia Airport. Departure.
Group size: 5-15

Deposit: 100 EUR
The price includes: ground transfers, accommodation, full board (lunch often will be picnic), guide (2 guides if the group is bigger than 10), optical equipment for birdwatching.
